Gary Ritacco is a Managing Director at RPN.  Gary comes to recruiting after twelve years in BigLaw, most recently as Counsel in Akin’s Band 1 Restructuring group, where he was intimately involved in his group’s lateral recruiting process.  Prior to his six years at Akin, Gary was an associate in King & Spalding’s Restructuring practice.  From his extensive experience, Gary has a deep understanding of what both law firms and candidates (from Partners to Junior Associates) are looking for.  He maintains extensive contacts with the AmLaw 100 as well as the in-house departments at several of his former clients.

Gary’s strength as a lawyer was quickly building trust and meaningful, personal relationships with his clients and other professionals.  It was also what he found most rewarding about practicing and decided to make a career out of relationship building through recruiting.

Gary earned his J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law where he was an Articles Editor on the St. John’s ABI Law Review. He earned his B.A., phi beta kappa, in English from Lehigh University.  Gary lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children and when he’s not chasing his girls around, he enjoys running, being a novice wine collector, reading philosophy, and getting disappointed by the Giants, Rangers and Yankees.
